Born 1968 in Zadar, Croatia. Since 1990 I live and work in Zurich, Switzerland.

I am abstract painter and photographer interested in exploring the tension between fiction and different types of reality. Abstract painting accompanied my life since childhood, becoming an even stronger presence during the last years.

My pieces have found their way into many private collections in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain and Croatia.

This is Zoran Zekanovic’s series Speeder Odyssey, he focuses on the mangled and crushed car parts from speeding accidents. Zoran photographs them poetically, displaying the beautiful patterns such destruction can produce. Depicting such ferocious results in such a manner creates a series of great intrigue.Hit the jump to see the rest of the series. Not only does Zoran’s work have an aesthetic and poetic beauty but his ability to articulate his work is equally as beautiful; "The collision has just impacted and the journey has come to a jarring halt. The intoxication with speed, the limitless obsession with haste, have culminated in the most brutal of endings. The mangled objects that I am showing here bear silent witness to this massive force and its fallout. But even in their distorted rigidity these objects are still ciphers of a world that has taken speed to the realms of the unbearable, enticing us on to our own ultimate destruction."

Jednostavno, ovo nas slikarstvo uzbuđuje svojim lirizmom, intenzivnim kromatskim suprotnostima i plemenitim linijama. Psihička dimenzija ovih slika, u širokom rasponu doživljaja, svojom radosnom igrom i svijetlim lirizmom tvori jedan zaseban unisoni svijet u kojemu se lice stvarnosti permanentno mijenja.
